It has been such a beautiful week! I am so thankful to God for meeting such lovely and faith-filled people! Monday, as you know, I was at the DPCDSB with the Instructional Superintendents. Tuesday morning I was at the School Sisters of Notre Dame performing The Prodigal Daughter for the HCDSB as part of their Adult Faith Formation Series. It was so great to work with Sr. Mary Heather, we had some great discussions! Then Tuesday afternoon, invited by Deacon Dominic, I was over at Manresa Jesuit Retreat Centre to perform The Prodigal Daughter for their teachers Lenten retreat.
Yesterday I was over at the St. John Paul II Cultural Center in Mississauga for the Youth Faith Ambassadors Rally! Wow, 500 students from across the DPCDSB. It was a rally indeed! It brought me so much joy to see so many youth there for Jesus! I got to perform He Thirsts for You and The Prodigal Daughter.
Just got back from doing a performance at the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board office in Mississauga. I performed He Thirsts For You for the Instructional Superintendents. It was lovely to be there and delve into the Scripture of the Woman at the Well with them. Thank you Patricia for inviting me!
Yesterday evening I performed for the teachers of Bishop Macdonell High School. They had a retreat at the lovely St. Bridget Villa at the Ignatius Jesuit Centre. What a beautiful place! I was very thankful to be a part of it for another year. Thank you Deacon Trevor for inviting me again!
Today I performed The Prodigal Daughter at Blessed Trinity Parish in Toronto for their Catholic Women’s League Lenten retreat. There were about 80 women who attended. It was lovely to see some familiar faces!
Well, there is a first time for everything! On January 6th I had the opportunity to perform live on the radio! Fr. Bill Trusz was kind enough to invite me onto his program called A Walk on The Little Way on Radio Teopoli. I started with my witness talk and went on to perform The Prodigal Daughter. It was very interesting to perform without the full range of actions and props. I hope you enjoy it. Below is a recording.
Thank you again Fr. Bill and Laura for having me on the program!
This past weekend, on December 12th, I performed St. Teresa of Jesus: Look at Him on a pilgrimage to Our Lady Of Victory Basilica in Buffalo, New York. It was a very blessed day! What a beautiful church! Very thankful to Mary who invited me and organizes these wonderful pilgrimages.
This past Wednesday I had the opportunity to perform The Prodigal Daughter for Serra Club of Toronto at St. Basil’s parish. That same evening I was in Stoney Creek performing for the Catholic Women’s League of Immaculate Heart of Mary parish. I performed He Thirsts for You and my latest, St. Teresa of Jesus on Prayer: Look at Him. They were both such great groups of people. I am very thankful for their kindness and encouragement.
Thanks be to God for such a blessed weekend!!! It was the Carmelite Congress! This year is a very special year as we have been celebrating the 5th Centenary of St. Teresa of Jesus, a great saint and doctor of the church. It was such a joy and an honour to become one of my favourite saints for ten minutes. I prepared a short monologue on prayer and friendship with Christ taken mainly from St. Teresa’s book THE WAY OF PERFECTION chapter 26. The Carmelite Sisters of Zephyr’s booklet of St. Teresa’s quotes was a great resource! What a blessing!
